Analysis of Timing Effect on Flow Field and Pulsation in Vertical Axial Flow Pump

Vertical axial flow pump device has the characteristics of large and low head, which is widely used in pumping station projects with head 3–9 m. In order to study influence timing effect impeller relative channel guide vane on field pulsation device, whole vertical was taken as research object. The reliability numerical simulation verified by physical model test. pressure inlet outlet regions impeller, campaniform conduit at different positions under rates were analyzed. results show that coefficient distribution presents four high-pressure areas low-pressure rotation impeller. mainly affected main frequency 4 times amplitude decreases increase rate. When rate increased from 0.8 Qbep 1.2 Qbep, average velocity circulation decreased 12%; there an obvious negative value region internal regularized helicity vane. increases gradually, a decrease 94%. secondary are both low-frequency, low-frequency characteristics. Under small condition fluctuation seven 18.9% average, variation each large. optimal 1.0 7 4.7% 0.56% change stable. concentrated two slots vane, ratios 30.56%, 30.14% 29.16% three conditions, respectively. provide scientific basis for optimization design stable operation device.
